Something New...
I like taking pictures. I especially like taking pictures of people just ... being themselves. My favorite tools for this are my zoom lens and the "motor drive" on my camera. With it I can stand a couple hundred feet away and take bursts of about 8 pictures without anyone knowing I'm doing it. The result: relaxed, happy subjects and enough shots that I can pick the one where everyone looks their best.
I have other tricks too like a super fast 50mm prime lens with no zoom at all. Since it's just a piece of glass it's fast enough and lets enough light in that I can take pictures in a dark bar or movie theater and as long as people aren't moving around too much - they look pretty good. Focusing can be hit or miss because sometimes it's too dark too see - the camera sensor actually is picking up more light than my eyes can.
Anyway, I ended up with over 1000 pictures from fall 2006/Spring 2007. I spent about a week working on it - cutting together little sequences as study breaks and then finally putting it all together the weekend before Vetscapades. It was a blast to make and I was a little worried I'd get sick of the song, but I didn't.
I'm was (and am still) totally flabbergasted by the reaction this got. I didn't expect anything more than a few laughs. I really appreciate all the kind words. You guys are all too awesome.
