Isn't this supposed to be a ROSARY web site?

Vet School doesn't really leave much time for rosaries it turns out, but I did a lot of repair work before the semester started and a little bit of photography. Here's one of the rosaries that was pictured in pieces way back in June. It's all fully restored now and looks great with it's new beads and medals.

I don't have the rosary in front of me, but I know it's an all sterling silver assembly from Quebec with rock crystal beads. To stay true to the original - my restoration was also in sterling and rock crystal. (In other words, you can't tell the restored sections from the original ones.) I was playing with the depth of field on my new camera so as you can see, I am able to focus on area if I want. Here, I've focused so tightly on the front of the rosary with the macro lens that, the decades near the center medal are actually blurry.

I love that gorgeous little sterling 4 way cross so I've included a close up of just it. It's a wonderful medal all by itself and really adds a lot to the rosary.
